I believe that this was one of the greatest English empires because of the many achievements which Queen Elizabeth managed to get. The victory over the Spanish Armada made England probably the greatest empire at the time. Elizabeth managed to bring England’s economic issues from a very large debt, to a surplus of £300,000.
